This Cancer Care Education module was created to help you navigate your cancer care journey from diagnosis to survivorship and beyond.

This module will cover all stages of your breast cancer journey, including:

  • screening,
  • diagnosis,
  • treatment,
  • recovery,
  • coping,
  • and survivorship.

Cancer care is a partnership between you, your loved ones, and healthcare professionals.

The purpose of this partnership is to improve your quality of life during your breast cancer journey, including recovery, coping methods, and timely support.

Every person affected by and living with cancer has unique needs, including:

  • informational,
  • physiological,
  • psychosocial,
  • psychological,
  • emotional,
  • and mental.

Figuring out what you need and addressing it is important to living an active, productive, and healthy life. This Cancer Care Education module contains strategies to help you identify your individual needs.

Ultimately, this Cancer Care Education module focuses on the underlying principles of navigation and survivorship as they relate to people living with breast cancer.

Provided resources for coping with cancer and recovery will cover both modern and complementary/alternative medicine. This inclusion enhances your understanding of holistic health and wellness and how this medicine can complement your cancer care plan.

Furthermore, this module includes culturally appropriate approaches to cancer care for individuals who are 2SLGBTQIA+, Indigenous, or immigrants/refugees.
